Scope: This hub is for the base Steam game, AppID 2436940. The store lists Sephiria as a top-down action roguelite with single-player and online co-op. The public release date is 31 July 2026; pages that describe Early Access use an explicit historical label.

Sephiria asks you to make two decisions at once. You must survive the next room, but you must also decide whether the Artifact, Tablet, weapon upgrade, or resource in front of you improves the rest of the run. That makes a useful first guide less about a fixed tier list and more about a repeatable reading order. Learn the interface, identify the job your current build must do, and keep a record of the version before trusting a number.

Official feature

Read the inventory first

The Steam listing highlights a strategic inventory system built around collecting and arranging Artifacts and empowering them with Tablets.

Official feature

Choose a weapon path

The store describes six distinct weapons and more than fifty unique upgrades for each, so a build should have a direction before it has a ranking.

Current check

Expect changing details

Patch notes, community guides, and the live game can disagree. Attach a date and version to mechanics, unlocks, and balance claims.

Official feature

Plan for solo or co-op

Steam lists single-player and online co-op for up to four players. A solo route and a group route should not assume the same priorities.

Choose the right starting question

If this is your first run, open the Beginner Guide and learn the loop before chasing a perfect build. If your run is ending with a full bag and no coherent bonus, read the Inventory Guide. If you understand the bag but do not know which permanent choices deserve attention, use the Systems Guide. Returning players can jump to Weapons, Artifacts, Tablets, or Builds without pretending that one page covers every version.

The official Steam description is enough to establish the broad loop: a bunny tries to save Bunnyville, explores a tower, upgrades weapons, unlocks Talents, arranges Artifacts with Tablets, and fights through changing threats. It is not enough to prove a current Artifact catalog, an unlock cost, a boss phase, or a best upgrade. Those details belong on pages with an evidence label and a version checkpoint.

A safe reading order for a run

First, identify the immediate failure. Are you taking damage because movement is unsafe, because the weapon cannot finish targets, or because your inventory bonuses point in unrelated directions? Write that answer down before selecting the next reward. A short note prevents the run from becoming a sequence of attractive but incompatible pickups.

Second, look at the shape of the inventory. An Artifact that is merely strong in isolation may be weak if it cannot share useful space with the rest of the layout. A Tablet choice should be judged by the squares it empowers and the items it makes possible, not by the word “rare” alone. The exact rules are version-sensitive, so use the Tablet pages as a planning framework until the current in-game behavior is verified.

Third, choose a weapon question. You might be testing a safe clear, a close-range build, a status interaction, or a co-op role. Do not call the result a universal best build after one run. Record the weapon, upgrade choices, chapter, difficulty context, and the failure point so another player can reproduce the comparison.

Fourth, check the official source trail. The Steam Features page points to the store, TEAM HORAY, and Steam Community. The Updates hub separates the 1.0 launch from later notes. This is especially important when an older Steam guide still uses an Early Access version number.

What counts as a useful guide

A useful page tells you what to inspect, what decision the inspection supports, and what evidence could invalidate the recommendation. It avoids a fake precision such as a damage number without a weapon, upgrade, patch, or test setup. It also distinguishes player reports from official store facts. For example, “six weapons” is a current store claim; “this named upgrade always wins” needs a test or a current data source.

The strongest pages on this site will therefore pair a practical route with a verification box. Use the route while playing, then open the source link when a patch changes the context. If the page cannot confirm a detail, it will say so instead of filling the gap with a copied spreadsheet.

Version notes for returning players

Sephiria has an Early Access history and a 1.0 public release. A guide written during Early Access can still explain a control or a decision pattern, but its balance, unlock order, item pool, and achievement advice may be obsolete. When a community guide is useful, the page will preserve its publication or update date and label the content as secondary evidence. The Steam store and the live game remain the final checks for the current base-game scope.

A note-taking loop that saves time

Keep three short notes after every meaningful run: what the build was trying to do, where it first failed, and what evidence would change the conclusion. This turns a vague loss into a next experiment. If the failure was a crowded inventory, return to the layout page. If the failure was a telegraph, move to the boss page. If the source itself changed, check Updates before editing a build recommendation.

This loop also protects new players from inherited advice. A guide can be useful without knowing every internal value, provided it makes the decision visible and leaves a clear path to verify it. When a page eventually gains a confirmed item name or route, add the version and observation beside the claim instead of removing the uncertainty history.
